Good Low Profile Mouthguard,

I practice in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and need a mouthguard that:1) I can breath around 2) Doesn't make my lips stick out 3) Is comfortable to wear This mouth guard is all three. I tried one of the Shock Doctor Gel Max mouthguards and there was so much "gel" in the front that it made my upper lip stick out (too much material between the front teeth and top lip). That's not a good thing for combat sports where you don't wear a helmet and have a high risk of getting whacked in the mouth. Once this mouthguard is heated and fitted it does a good job of protecting my teeth from frontal impacts and from the real risk which is having my bottom jaw/teeth knocked into my upper teeth and chipping/breaking them. It doesn't hurt my jaws and I don't have to think about keeping it in place, it pretty much stays put. My dentist is going to extract 5 of my teeth this coming Friday. I don't look forward to that at all, but he has to. I broke off my front tooth at the base. My other front teeth are loose, so he wants to pull all of my front teeth and give me a removable bridge. He noticed that I've broken 3 crowns in my mouth because of my grinding. Well, rather than pay the 5 hundred bucks for a molded mouthpiece made by the dentist, I ordered this. It works fine. I also have sleep apnea, so I'm a mess at night. But, it's easy to shape with the boiling water, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the 5 bills. My teeth are going to cost me a fortune on top of that, Get it, I have no complaints, other than misplacing it every day...

I've used plenty of different types of mouthguards and this one is decent. It doesn't really hold its shape very well and doesn't form very tight at least not compared to others. One nice thing is its very soft and doesn't tire your jaw using it. › See all 41 customer reviews...
